TWO serious incidents in a matter of a hours at a block of flats have left a community ‘horrified’.
Police dealt with two separate incidents at Egerton Court on Barrow Island in the space of nine hours, including one that saw armed officers dispatched to the scene.
Another incident left a man in hospital after ‘serious’ injuries to his leg and spine.
Barrow Island councillor Allison Johnston said she hoped the incidents were a ‘one-off’ for the troubled area, which has been improving.
Police arrested three people after they were called to the scene by paramedics at 3am to find a man collapsed on a pavement in a front of block 10 in the complex.
