Hundreds of retired military officers on two separate continents have attached their names to public letters warning democracy is in peril, and a retired army officer says to dismiss their pleas is to ignore the warning signs.
In April 23, retired French officers warned that their nation was heading for "disintegration" and "civil war” if the national government did not address the impoverished Muslim ghettos that that ring major cities.
An estimated six million Muslims live in France in Sharia law-compliant neighborhoods that are off limits to non-Muslim citizens and where police officers complain they are in danger on the public streets.
