A police sub-inspector and his subordinate, a head constable attached to the Halasuru Gate police station, have been suspended for their hand in a missing gold case. The cops are not only accused of pocketing 266 grams of a
gold ingot they had seized during a raid but also of having coerced the shop-owner later to say that he found the missing gold while cleaning the shop and request senior officials not to take action against them.
