Clusters of COVID-19 cases linked to a restaurant and to a large Thanksgiving party have contributed to the 703 cases reported since the holiday in Medford. At least 30 cases were linked so far to "a potentially oversized gathering" at Raso's Bar and Grille on Mystic Avenue, but contact tracing efforts are continuing, the Medford Board of Health said. Anyone who dined there or ordered takeout between Nov. 23 and Nov. 30 is asked to leave a message for the board at 781-475-5644.City officials said they were able to conduct contact tracing on all of the cases linked to the Thanksgiving gathering. They did not provide a count of the number of cases linked to that cluster. "With cases rising at a rate we have not seen before, it is more important than ever that we continue to follow guidance from and fully cooperate with our public health professionals," Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn said in a statement. "I am asking residents and businesses to make extreme sacrifices while we are in the most challenging time of this pandemic, which I know is tough, but with encouraging news about vaccine availability this week there is hope on the horizon, and we will get through this together."
