TRUSSVILLE — For the first time in over a decade, the annual “Love Your Neighbor” food drive to benefit T.E.A.M. (Trussville Ecumenical Assistive Ministry) will not occur in February. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the local ministry and its partner in the food drive, Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce, have made a joint decision to postpone indefinitely.
“We hope to hold a food drive around the first of the summer, depending on the COVID situation then,” said June Mathews, executive director of the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce. “In the meantime, we encourage those who would normally contribute food to our February drive to make monetary donations instead.”
