New York: The Trump Organisation and its longtime finance chief have each pleaded not guilty to tax crime charges arising from a two-year investigation into former US president Donald Trump’s company.
It is the first criminal case the New York authorities’ probe has yielded. According to the indictment filed on Wednesday and unveiled on Thursday, US time (Friday AEST), since 2005 Weisselberg and the company have cheated the state and city out of taxes by conspiring to pay senior executives off the books.
