Former President Donald Trump will have no part in Bob Woodward's next book, according to an adviser, after the last one by the investigative journalist invited a flurry of unfavorable headlines.
"President Trump is not participating in Bob Woodward’s book,” Trump spokesman Jason Miller told
Washington Post colleague Robert Costa to write a follow-up to his bestselling
Rage focused on the final phase of the Trump administration and President Joe Biden's first days in office.
Trump participated in 18 interviews with Woodward for
Rage, which was published in September 2020 by Simon & Schuster, and faced a wave of backlash, particularly for his comments about downplaying the severity of the coronavirus pandemic in its earliest days.
