Truck driver in crash that killed 5 cyclists near Las Vegas had meth in his system, DA says

The driver of a white Isuzu box truck was traveling southbound when it hit an escort vehicle and several bicyclists on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020.
LAS VEGAS – The box truck driver who hit a group of 20 bicyclists in a collision that killed five riders had nine times an allowable amount of methamphetamine in his system, according to authorities.
Jordan Alexander Barson stands charged with five counts of DUI resulting in death, six counts of reckless driving resulting in death or substantial bodily harm and one count of DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm.
