WORTHINGTON — Many people have been affected by the pandemic in one way or another. Unfortunately for rural Minnesota farmers, their experience was much different than most.
Steve Brake, a farmer in southwest Minnesota, talked about the challenges he has faced during 2020. Brake’s main concerns when he learned the news of the shutdown were his livestock.
“It put a bit of pressure on us, especially on management,” he said. “How we were going to save these hogs from being euthanized.”
