The INDIA bloc in Tripura has requested the Election Commission to countermand the polls in West Tripura Lok Sabha and Ramnagar Assembly constituencies, accusing the BJP of large scale poll manipulation through booth jamming, intimidation, and proxy voting. The opposition alliance, comprising eight political parties, CPIM and Congress, held a joint press briefing after the polls were over and requested the Commission to conduct fresh elections with adequate security measures.
