Trip to Forbuoys newsagents, Hereford to buy Smash Hits in 1980s

THE bright red shop sign of Forbuoys newsagent in Hereford’s Whitecross Road might be gone, but the name still lives on.
Peter Davies took this picture of the newsagent in 1980, while he was living across the road from the shop.
He shared it in our We Grew Up In Hereford Facebook group, before some of the 9,000 members started to share their memories of the shop.
Maryse Ozguc said Gary Rawlings used to be the manager at Forbuoys, and Jane Mackney said she used to work there.
