Tribal bison hunt expands on National Elk Refuge to include Eastern Shoshone

Every spring members of some Yellowstone-region tribes are allowed to participate in ceremonial hunts. The Eastern Shoshone Tribe just partook for the first time since the refuge formed 112 years ago.
