Trial For May 2018 Fatal Accident Starts

A West Virginia man appeared in Cambria County Court Today for charges related to the deadly wrong way crash in May of 2018.
The courtroom was packed with friends and family members wearing the color red, in memory of victim, Olivia Red.
The defendant, Chase Turner is facing charges of driving under the influence, homicide by motor vehicle, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
The commonwealth stated in an opening argument Turner’s blood alcohol concentration at the time of the crash was more than 3 times the legal limit.
Angela Philips, the passenger in Red’s vehicle during the crash, was the first to take the stand and recalled the moments leading up to and following the head on collision.
