The trial of Maskhal Ibrahim continues in Rockingham County Circuit Court.
The Harrisonburg man accused of seriously injuring a James Madison University student in a hit-and-run incident nearly three years ago.
However, the trial will not include J-M-U president Dr. Johnathan Alger, who was dismissed as a juror this morning citing a report in the Daily News Record naming Alger as a juror.
Ibrahim faces two counts in connection with the accident that occurred on August 24, 2018, in the 400 block of West Market Street.
A police investigation showed a vehicle had stopped in the road to pick up passengers. A second car, allegedly driven by Ibrahim, struck the stopped vehicle and a pedestrian.
