The passing of Trevor Kane has marked the end of an era in Ulster entertainment circles.
For several decades, the well-known promoter had been very much to the fore in staging concerts and promoting shows at venues throughout the province.
Aged 88, he had been in failing health of late and died at his home at Dundonald on Tuesday night.
The Beatles, The Kinks, Tom Jones, Roy Orbison, Rory Gallagher and Englebert Humperdinck were just some of the stellar acts that Trevor brought to the province and in the process sparked a whole new dynamic in entertainment before going on to immerse himself in the promotion of country dances.
