Travis County Court Ruling Could Put Brakes On Bill Limiting Local Authority

On Wednesday, a Travis County judge ruled House Bill 2127, set to go into effect on September 1, unconstitutional. Although the state is expected to appeal the ruling, for now the law will be blocked from going into effect.
