Transgender Network focusing on advocacy and educating lawmakers
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - House Bill 1076, which would require South Dakota birth certificates to reflect biological sex, is causing some friction between organizations and legislators.
HB 1076 was once dead on the floor of a house committee, but house lawmakers revived it and now its fate lies in the hands of the state senate.
The Transformation Project Advocacy Network has been around for a few years and aims to fight discriminatory legislation, which they believe is happening this session.
