Aly good morning, guys. We are here at the Golden Harvest food bank. A lot of kids go hungry when it goes from friday to monday. They dont have food at home and that is what this campaign is about. It is all about what is in these bags. We have just boxes and granola we have juice boxes and talk to me a little bit about this food bank and of the good it does. The Golden Harvest food bank is part of the National Network of food banks. There are 200 in the country. The bag of food you are telling everyone about is part of a backpack program, which is also a national program. United way in anderson has embraced this program. They have raised money to make county get food every weekend. They dont have to cook the food or heat it up. I can just open it and eat it. David hayes was accused of taking bribes in exchange for tipping off an illegal gambling operator about upcoming raids by law enforcement. Hayes pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor. The judge sentenced him to timeserved. In exchange, prosecutors dropped a felony charge of misconduct in office. I would call it just making he got into financial pressure. He made the wrong decisions. He got into bed with the wrong people. Allyson both hays and former deputy shea smith were fired in july 2014 after an fbi investigation. Smith pleaded guilty in december. He was put on probation and banned from law enforcement. A hearing is scheduled this morning in of the zach hammond case. He was shot and killed in july by a Seneca Police officer. This happened in a hearty parking lot in a partys parking lot in an undercover drug sting. Geoff Greenville County deputies say a burglary led to three school lockdowns. They have three people in custody. Thomas kerns elementary and the m. T. Anderson support center along with Southside High School were on lockdown. Deputies say the search started after a burglary at a home on oak hill drive. Investigators say four people out of the vehicle ran away. Deputies caught up with those three, but the driver got away. Allyson in Anderson County, deputies say the owner of a dog found shot and emaciated will not face charges. You may recall twoyearold boxer amara. Deputies say the owner shot the dog because of her aggressive behavior. So, they decided to put her down. But they didnt realize her euthanasia was unsuccessful until they saw her on the news. Officials have decided there would be no criminal charges. Amara is currently at boxer butts and other mutts. They are a nonprofit rescue in western North Carolina. Geoff a prayer meeting will being held this morning in response to close three Elementary Schools in Pickens County. Those three schools are lewis, holly springs, and ambler Elementary Schools.
