Tampa had heavy flooding within the last couple of months since forecasters say they are especially vulnerable to flooding. Here in south florida the rain is actually helping to ease the drought theyve been dealing with. That is the good news. John blackstone has her story. Reporter the intense search for Miyuki Harwood began when the experienced hiker disappeared after being separated from the group she was with. Searchers found misharwood injured but alive. Reporter Fresno County sheriff says harwood had almost no supplies when she set out on what was to be a day hike in the heavily forested sierra range north of fresno. They found her in a very remote area of the sierra neff never mountains on a very rocky location. Reporter she had broken her left leg. California Highway Patrol paramedic rusty hodgekiss. She basically crawled from where she was injured down to a creek, took her about two days to do that. She was able to drink from the creek with the water to day is a live. Reporter police say ballistics tests indicate a gun they found when they arrested shannon miles is a match with the gun used at the crime scene. The 30yearold has a criminal record that dates back to 2005. Miles went from committing misdemeanors like Disorderly Conduct with a firearm to now being charged with capital murder. The motive remains a mystery. Police say just after 8 00 friday night miles approached sheriff Deputy Goforth at this station and shot him multiple times.
