>> reporter: well, this area historically on a sunday night is usually not very busy and even with these roads that are blocked off it seems to be that traffic is moving through. people are just going a few blocks around. you have to know that this might, you know, get -- this might actually change throughout the night because some of these d.c. approve testers are talking about after this is over -- protesters are talking about after this is over moving down to the white house and protesting there. so it is a possibility that traffic is coming through now, there might be a problem later tonight. of course, we'll monitor this for you the rest of the evening. >> lindsey mastis reporting from mcpherson square and obviously we'll have complete updates tonight at 11:00. moving along, double trouble for the washington redskins this evening. they lose at home to the jets and word is two of their star players are being suspended the next four games for failing multiple drug tests. we have both stories. >> we'll get to those suspensions, but first the game. the redskins looking for their first win and after 3 1/2 quarters it looked promising, but in the end it became the same old story. rex grossman and the skins hosting the new york jets and on the opening drive rex grossman pitched it to roy helu, redskins striking first but the jets respond. sean green takes the handoff into the -- shonn greene takes the hanoff into the end zone for one of his three touchdowns today. aaron maybin gets the ball and the jets get it back shifting the momentum of the game. then greene hereby with the second touchdown for 9 yards out to -- hereby with the second touchdown for 9 yards out to extend the lead. jets win 34-19. >> just disappointed with the way we finished, couldn't get much going on offense. it's hashed to win the football game -- hashed to win the football game when you fin -- hard to win the football game when you finish like we did. >> the 1st half it was all right. the 2nd half it was always something whether it was the sack and 1st down behind the chains, just frustrate. i don't really have an answer for -- frustrating. don't really have an answer for you. >> a tough loss. >> as grossman said, it's always something. now the other big story, fred davis and trent williams are done for the rest of the season after failing drug tests. dave won't has more from fed -- dave owens has more from fedex field. >> reporter: i'm here with redskins insider dave elkins. we started to hear this story right before kickoff, fred davis, trent williams not available the rest of the year, violation of the nfl's drug policy. what do we know about the situation at this point?
