it includes no new taxes. local governments are not pleased that they will sure up the state's pension plan. >> i'm peggy fox in fairfax county where local leaders are expressing concern tonight about governor mcdonnell's budget, saying it amounts to a bailout on the backs of counties. >> the $85 billion budget is the largest in state history, so is the state's contributions. the governor shifted the pension to the counties. >> it's a gimmick. it's not fair to our teachers. it's not fair to our county employees and not fair to our taxpayers. >> the governor did increase elementary, they would lose $65 million for retaining staff and credittive districts. for transportation funding, he would carve a portion from the general fund and boost higher education funding by $200 million. >> it for western kansas until the very early morning hours on tuesday. a ton of snow into mexico. we have video from the ski resort in mexico. and they got anywhere from 6 to about 12 inches of snow. and really in some respects, the southwest has been the bulls eye with snow. this is their second snow of the winter. second snow of december. these folks have anywhere from 20 to 40-inch base. that's pretty good. all right, back to the computer we go. we'll follow this storm eastward and notice it turns to rain. not much cold air anywhere. it's rain in the midwest. a couple sprinkles going overhead right now. the air is going to evaporate. temperatures, grab a light coat. 47 bethesda. 52 college park. 45 out toward great falls. 44 in reston. 48 in sterling and also in leesburg. what's going to happen? it will get cool and milder. just chilly tonight. in fact, we get a break in temperatures tonight. you'll need a jacket tomorrow. it will be milder on wednesday and thursday. but rather unsettled on wednesday. that's a nice way of saying wet. for tonight, mostly cloudy, breezy. late shower possible. 35 to 40. notice the winds up next 10 to 15. that's a warmer wind. and then tomorrow morning, mostly cloudy and cool. a shower possible. i think you need a coat more than you need an umbrella. 30s and 40s. notice the winds, they turn northeasterly at 10 and that's a colder wind. by afternoon, mostly cloudy and cool. a few showers. high temperatures near 50. your coat is a good idea. winds easterly at 10. it will be chillier tomorrow than it was today, but not bad.
