rates. and medical schools face legal limits on how many new doctors they can train. the doctor who led the trauma team which saved ronald reagan after he was shot in 1981 is hang up the scalpel. >> i sent in my letter of resignation. >> reporter: he is not alone. >> i see people who are dissatisfied with the system as it exist and people looking for ways to get out of medicine and surgery. >> reporter: the big health reform bill introduced this week in the senate. >> doesn't have any language in there that would significantly increase the number of physicians in the country. it's not there. >> reporter: the association of american meade kel college is buying adding to warning congress in a we will be 150,000 doctors short by 2025. >> reporter: in the late 1990s they imposed caps smears. they recommend they get tested at age 21 instead of throw years after becoming sexually active. also the new advices that women in their 20s need a pap smear every two years instead of annually. and women 30 or older could wait three years between tests. cervical unlike breast cancer generally slow growing and uncommon in young women. this study says fewer screenings could lead to
