Whack into become into wake up washington. Im Nick Giovanni alongside melissa nord. The heat is on. We are finally in the summertime gear of things and that means 90degree days with a little bit of humidity as well and thats what we are going to see for your saturday. Its going to be hot. It will be humid, and that means you need to limit your Time Outdoors for today. There will be a breeze that will make it feel not quite as uncomfortable outside where we are just baking in heat, but it certainly will be a hot one. Right now weve got plenty of sunshine, temperatures with the sunshine going to be a fairly quick warmup today. At the moment its 68 degrees, dew point in the low 60s, it continues to rise into the mid to upper 60s today, making the humidity a big factor this afternoon. Across the region, even some low 60s showed up and some of our lower lying suburbs frederick, leesburg 56 degrees. Not much going to happen this afternoon, just an isolated shower or thunderstorm and the reason why its so warm today versus yesterday because we had a warm front push through and thats opening the door for all the heat. 92 this afternoon. We will talk about how long the 90s stick around for coming up in a few minutes. Topping the rundown now, a final goodbye to the greatest, muhammad ali is in his final resting place this morning. Thousands bid farewell to the lepeops champ in his hometown yesterday. Flooding the restets of louisville to show love and respect for the late boxing wedged legend. He picked the speakers himself for his memorial service, among them, former president bill clinton. I think he decided very young to write his own life story and before fate and time could work their will ever disempowered. We have had Team Coverage in louisville for the last couple of days along with bruce johnson, our mowa lenghi shared their encounters. Reporter perhaps anything more powerful than a right hook from muhammad ali was an unexpected moment with muhammad ali. Stuart carroo relives his one experience with ali every time he looks in the mirror. How often do you get mistaken for muhammad ali . All the time. Reporter he met him one time years ago in a club. I had the privilege of shaking his hand and from since then i have been muhammad ali. Hairstylist greg moses relates, he carries around an album full of photos taken the day he cut muhammad alis hair. He looked at their haircut in the mirror and he come out and looked says youre the greatest. Moses said the haircut came days before ali carried the olympic torch in atlanta. The world watched ali, moses watched alis hair. Oh, my gosh. It was one of the greatest feelings it was the greatest feeling i ever felt. It was just a haircut but not to greg moses. Deborah mohamed sits in quiet contentment with what she has gained. Special, surprise. One day a friend of hers happened to be with ali, her friend called her. And he put muhammad ali on the phone because he knew how much i adored him. And once he said do you know who this is . It is muhammad ali, the world stopped. It was just a phone call, just a haircut, just a handshake. No. It was just ali doing what he always seemed to do, the most powerful thing a person can do, giving a little bit of himself to others. And millions have been sharing their thoughts on twitter as well about how they have been inspired by ali. Talk about any of your memories of ali, use the hashtag inspiredbyali. Full plate going on this weekend if youre going outside, make sure you hydrate based on these temperatures. I think thats a great idea. Hydrate with water, not other beverages this afternoon. Because, yes, it is like full summertime here finally we are getting some 90degree days. The first ones of the season today and tomorrow, falling on a weekend. Just an isolated chance of a shower or thunderstorm each afternoon so pretty much looking like a nice summerlike weekend. Heres our michael son weather camera this morning. We have got temperatures im into the 70s, 68 degrees with a southsouthwest wind and that will be picking up later today as well as the humidity levels as well, the dew point then arrives from the low 60s into the ms. 60s this afternoon, which create that heat index value that we start to talk about in the summertime where it actually feels hotter than it really is outside. 61 in college park, andrews at 67 degrees, bowie right now 61. Reston 61 degrees as well. And germantown 61 degrees starting off your saturday morning. This afternoon hot, hazy and humid. Theres going to be just an isolated shower chance, majority of us stay dry but you will notice the heat is finally going to be first real summerlike weekend with temperatures well above average. We hit the 90s both today and also tomorrow with just a few showers or thundershowers each afternoon, most of us stay dry. It is going to be windy tomorrow, breezy, i would tomorrow. Today is the more humid of the two days and then by monday its not quite as hot. We will call it the mid80s for your monday. Heres the day planner today, taking temperatures by lunch hour, we are at 68 degrees right now down here at the bottom of your screen, by lunchtime already in the mid 80s so thats a fairly quick warmup. As we go into the late afternoon, low and mid90s, just a few passing clouds and that stray shower or thunderstorm late afternoon. Most of us staying dry so youre going to feel the heat outside this afternoon. 94 the forecast high in gaithersburg, 93 in fredericks, out in andrews, 93 the forecast high for today and it could reach around 95 in fredericksburg and factoring in the humidity feels a couple degrees warmer than it actually is outside. So take plenty of breaks from being outside in the sun. You could be in the sun, just stay hydrated, take some breaks, sit in the shade for a while, make sure youre using plenty of sunscreen and reapplying it because the uv index is high today. If youre heading on the phillies around noon today and that will be on wusa9. You can watch the game on our channel if you dont quite want to sit outside in the sweltering heat all afternoon. Looking at temperatures at the time of the first pitch mid80s up to 90 degrees about halfway through and bottom of the ninth or even past this we are going to see temperatures in the low 90s for that. Forecast highs for tomorrow, still going to be running on either side of 90 degrees but the humidity starts to drop off tomorrow because a cold front is going to move through, its not going to do much to drop the temperatures by tomorrow afternoon from today, but it will drop the humidity, pick up the winds a bit so expect it to be breezy tomorrow with just a stray shower chance in the afternoon. For monday look at the temperatures dropping off in the mid80s, much more pleasant, humidity is much lower by your monday so if youre not a fan of the heat and humidity combined that we are going to see today, by monday that will be the day thats much more pleasant. Again, stray shower or storm ahead of that weak front moving through that does drop our humidity a bit the second half of the weekend and then temperatures much more by your monday. Heres our seven sevenday outlook. For today, 90 degrees, isolated shower or storm, tomorrow a stray shower around. Monday really the pick of the next seven days. We are going to be in the mid 80s, low humidity, fairly comfortable outside, a stray shower again on tuesday and then late week looks like we may end up being more unsettled. Showers move in late wednesday, thursday there will be showers around, temperatures in the low 80s, down to around 80 by friday with a shower around early in the day and it does look like we will dry out past then for the weekend. Another check of your sevenday forecast coming up in just a bit. Turning to the consumer front now.
