Right now, were at 58 in Downtown Washington and 61 in culpepper. 55 in winchester. It wont be as mild as it was late yesterday afternoon. We did get up to 68 in Downtown Washington, and some areas got up to 80 degrees. But the cold frbront inging the cooler weather is bringing the drier weather. Well talk about the cooler temperatures and a beautiful sunday ahead in the first alert 7day forecast. The district will celebrate spring officially as the Cherry Blossoms are in peak bloom. Com, or a tape delay starting at noon. New this saturday morning, a man is waking up behind bars, charged with the shooting a Police Officer. Colvin white is connected with a shooting in front of a 7 eleven on saturday morning. The ann arundel officer is in critical condition, the first a natural list officer to be shot not line of duty since 2008. The man who allegedly kidnapped a woman led police on a chase and gunned down an officer is still in the hospital. Ronald anderson is charged with kidnapping and assault of a Police Officer. The guard, lawrence buckner, died of his injuries. Its unclear what charges could be filed in relation to buckners death. Police say that the man kidnapped his girlfriend on thursday and led police on a highspeed chase that ended up at the Census Bureau where he shot the guard. We for so long thought it was a private, but it does impact our community. A second officer was also shot in the police chase. He is expected to be just fine. The officer filled in the shooting was a husband, father, and grandfather. Lawrence buckners boss said they lost a member of their family. A fund has been set up to help his family. Students deal with a range of disabilities like Cerebral Palsy and conditions that require wheelchairs and constant care. Theyre in a real dance environment with real dance steps. Parents have noticed a difference such as this father. His daughters suffer from terminal conditions and have made considerable progress. It gives my girls a great more cferred confidence in themselves and their abilities, and the change from being confined to a wheelchair to being mobile is like night and day. California wineries are assessing a damage from a hailstorm on tuesday. As much as 75 of the delicate crop was damaged by hail. And a driver was thrown from a virginia highway onto the ground, and its the word of two recovers versus the driver because one camera recorded video, and it does not have video. Officials wont tell us whether it was recording, but Orange County sheriffs officials have reportedly said we are not aware of any other video besides what you currently have in your possession. The sages unaware of the deputy taking photos or videos with a handheld device. And the agency has changed its story saying this evening, i discovered that a patrol sergeant took photos of the defendants face and the hood of the car. Orange said i know body cameras were present that night with our officers, but the question is did they have them on . Now, we had a strong reaction on facebook. Lucky to be alive, thats what two Washington State residents are saying after a car crashed off an overpass and in front of their car. The dramatic crash was caught on video. In a dashcam video, we slow down and highlight the debris coming off the overpass onto the highway below. I slowed down and moved to the right and saw the remaining part of the car hit the ground and bop up and down and then spread across the freeway. Reporter Sean Sullivan was driving the car that captured the video on southbound i5 and was nearly hit by the truck as it tumbled to the ground. It was the biggest chunk of cement that came down. Reporter claire was riding in the passenger seat. John swerved, and i asked him, what the heck was that . He looked over at me and he said a car just full over the overpass. Reporter chopper 7 can show you the section of the overpass that the truck flew off, killing the driver inside. It backed up traffic during the evening refresh hour.
