It comes in from the northwest with some brakes and perhaps we will get into a low here or there but showers will be more on then off and you can see the green with occasionally moderate showers coming through leesburg and toward aldie and fairfax and going toward la plata right now. Southern maryland, heavy showers around solomon and Lexington Park and out to southern parts of st. Mary and frederick and Shenandoah Valley. All the way to strasburg and toward warrenton and part of the problem is we have 50s on top of us and the 70s, roanoke, on the wrong side of the front, it is a pretty good ingredient to keep the showers going. The committee looking into possible Trump Campaign ties to russia hears from the current acting director of the fbi for the first time. Andrew mccabe said fbi director james comey brought support into the fbi, contradicting white house claims. The Senate Intelligence committee issued a subpoena to michael flynn, for documents regarding his interactions with russian officials. Flynn had refused an earlier request to voluntarily turn over those documents. First alert doppler big picture, light rain in pennsylvania and even though there is a break in the west, theres more showers filling in north and west and we will get this activity moving out of west virginia. It picks up after that to the east and southeast and locally, some moderate showers. It crosses the river into Charles County and its coming through in montgomery in the district of fairfa of wet streets. There is heavy stuff in Southern Maryland and the lower eastern shore. We should get half an inch of rain and down in the Shenandoah Valley, you get toward harrisonburg and Mount Jackson and you see some breaks. The rain is coming back to warrenton with heavy rain south of i66 and the weather camera shows it just nasty with cloudy, cool, damp and temperatures Holding Steady and maybe rising a couple of degrees. Easterly at 10 miles an hour and not that pretty out there. Tomorrow, a lull during the day and the weekend outlook, saturday morning will be damp, to say the least with heavy rain in the morning and a lingering shower in the afternoon and on mothers day, breezy and warmer with a stray shower and jumping to the lower to mid70s, a far cry from where we are now.
