Not a good day for allergy sufferers across the region. A better afternoon with. A little more sunshine. And you know, we could see a spotty shower. But most of us are not going to see any precipitation today. And with the temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. And enough where we could poke near 70 with the sun. And it looks pretty nice. The visible satellite, we are seeing sunshine in the north and west. Cumberland, and the black on the map, it is no clouds, the white obviously the clouds here and you can see a lot of breaks up here. Toward western maryland and west virginia. And plenty of breaks in st. Marys county and down to the Northern Neck and a few clouds, still hanging out in dc, but where the sun is out, it is pretty nice already. It is going to be a soaker, i guess the rain is good for the water table and the leaves and plants and Everything Else that need water but only in the 50s. And the preakness, by post time, i think the heaviest rain will be over, but still on the damp side. Sunday looks better. Isolated shower. And temperatures should be back in the low 70s. And it is coming our way. It is all down in texas. Coming out of the southwest. And yesterday a storm system produced showers and storms in new mexico and arizona and now producing it in oklahoma and mainly in texas and that is severe weather, and in southern texas, that severe thunderstorm watch box, this is our saturday soaker, and it will toward the east northeast. And in the short term, the High Pressure trying to build in from ohio, and across pennsylvania, and so that is why we are seeing a pretty nice day. With any showers, really confined to southern virginia and down in the carolinas. So as we look at the future cast for the afternoon, more sunshine, and especially north of town, and yes, it is a stray shower, it looks like a 20 chance. Thats it. And tomorrow morning, it starts out, with a real fine start for friday. As i said. Pleasant through midday. As we go through the afternoon, especially west, we will see a few clouds start to build. Late in the day. But most of the day, you are really going to enjoy it. Take advantage of it. Because by saturday morning, here comes the rain.
