Lets talk about women in construction. You and i were chatting at the break. There seems to be a lot more than people are, women who own Major ConstructionCompanies People realize, women who own Major Construction companies. Absolutely. Women are in every industry but in particular this industry is one that mostly is dominated still by men but there are a number of women involved. People coming to this conference, are they all from this general area . No, in fact theyre coming from all over. Predominantly from the west coast. Theres a large contingency out there. We have a number of companies coming from chicago. There are some from new york, new jersey and of course the metropolitan d. C. Area. When they get here, what do they do . Are they trying to navigate, maybe getting a federal contract or trying to connect with other Construction Companies . Whats the purpose of the conference . One of the main reasons why im so involved in the conference is to bring together those stakeholders, if you will, from the construction industry, the hvacs, electricians, they all are either subcontractors or general contractors and they are here to connect with the federal government. One of the interesting things you and i were also talking about, you can look out the back door at the tv station and theres a construction crane all over. D. C. Is a very busy Construction Market right now. Maybe that could end up being some work for them in the future possibly. A number of our cities are engaged in rezoning and doing a lot more in terms of refurbishing and revamping the downtowns and this is a great time to be in construction, whether youre a woman or not. And washington, d. C. Has a number of opportunities and we want to connect with all of them, including our political and legislative agenda. And we talked about infrastructure.
