S. Troops there to 1600. The mornings other top story, a judge in south africa has cleared Oscar Pistorius of all murder charges. But the paraolympic track star could still be convicted of manslaughter for killing his girlfriend on valentines day last year. Cbs correspondent debra patter reports from pitoria, south africa. At the time he fired shots. Reporter Oscar Pistorius sobbed uncontrollable as the judge read the verdict. She said the prosecution did not provide enough evidence to prove he intended to kill his girlfriend reeva steenkamp. The state clearly has not proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the accused is guilty of premeditated murder. Reporter this entire case hinged on whether the judge believes pistorius story, that he mistakenly shot steenkamp in his home thinking she was a burglar. She said he as a witness was at times evasive but it does the not mean hes guilty of murder. The decision left many in the court stunned including some criminal lawyers believe she made an error in judgment. Pistorius still faces the charge of culpable manslaughter. The judge will deliver that friday. She said she believes he acted negligently when he shot four times into the door killing steenkamp. Isolated showers and storms will still be possible north of town, but the heaviest activity does appear its going to be south. Essentially colonial beach, dahlgren as we head toward 5 30 into charles county, Southern Maryland. The heavier storms pulling across there 7 00, 8 00. Isolated shower cant be ruled out through 7 30 or 8 00 but most of take activity by 8 00. East of i95 and pulling southeast with some cooler air building in tonight into tomorrow. Tomorrows highs will struggle to get out of the 70s to around 80 after being close to 90 today. It just wont feel as sticky, either.
