The new accounts wouldnt show up. Im saying to pull it to go look at the section called inquiries. Because thats the section that shows you when a company has pulled your report, when they are thinking about giving you credit. Reporter our Financial Experts said whether or not you were a victim of this credit fraud here at target, its a great idea to put a temporary or permanent freeze on your credit report. And what a freeze does, it places a hold on your credit report. Meaning any company that wants to get new credit for you when they go to the Credit Bureau and ask for your credit report, they will tell them we cant give it to you. According to the Washington Post federal prosecutors told virginia bob mcdonald last week that he and his wife would be charged in the gifting scandal. Its a beautiful gold and diamond. Its our fourth year receiving from the same person. Its been a christmas tradition four years running. The Salvation Army folks always alerted with a phone call. Basically she called and says you might want to check one of your red kettles at this location. Reporter the officials rushed over to the public to swap out the kettles and found the ring. Like every other year, the donor left a note, detailing how thankful she is for the work they do all year round. Helping to Fund Programs like the angel tree during christmas and throughout the year. Public shows show the biggest jump in math and reading test scores among the nations urban school district. The chancellor and mayor vincent gray unveiled the results wednesday. However the district is still trailing the large city average. The top educator and the mayor hopes to use the good and the challenging results to persuade a longer school day. The results from this test show that the things were doing in d. C. Are working. Reporter the d. C. School chancellor, declaring that her students are showing the greatest growth in math and reading scores of any urban School Districts in the country. This is a test that is experrally ministered and monitored and externally scored. We dont have a thing to do with it. Reporter the reading scores are up five to eight points respectfully. Math scores for the fourth graders are up seven points with the eighth graders seeing a fivepoint climb. They did not break down the scores. We spoke to the experts to have them crunch their numbers and to understand are the demographic changes the reason why our kids are performing and to know the answer . Our black kids and hispanic kids are growing at very fast clips. Reporter but henderson and mayor gray will now use the improved test scores to lobby unions and others to support the longer school day for the students. And how soon might that happen . Negotiations are going up. But how soon would you want that to happen . For the next school year as we piloted them for eight schools last year. And in seven of the eight schools, we saw them in both math and reading. And they still have a long way to go in compared to the School Systems for 2007. D. C. Finished dead last. We have a message of hope now for the cancer survivors, all campus survivors and their families. Dr. Ted miller is an on congress at the hospital. His wife is a cancer survivor. And we are glad to have you here, dr. Miller. Youre a cosurvivor. Thats how they talk about them supporting the ones with cancer. But you are also considered an expert in all aspects of the survivorship. Whats the method of the hope that you have for those of you for cancer . And you know that it is the only curable disease. Thats the moment when they needed to show you the cancer. And that it is a shock. There is an army of people there to help you and it is a treatable and curable disease. Hard work, but its doable. I want to mention the word co survivor and its a great one. The cancer is a disease that affects everything. When you talk about survivorship and the diagnosis. Thats when the first stage of the survivorship would begin when it is something that you need to start the plan. And it is a great moment when you are told that they would have cancer in the beginning. And it is a lot of the reasons why you do want to spread the word of hope and a disease that could be treated and you need to Pay Attention on the very first day for the long run. And how is that person going to be 5, 10, 15 years later because most people diagnosed with cancer are going to do well and it will be longterm survivors. Its all cancers, not just Breast Cancer or colon cancer, but youre talking about lung cancer as well, which used to be that diagnosis and the prognosis, it was always very, very ugly. Well, there are still many cancers that are very difficult to treat. But the prognosis in general for people with cancer has greatly improved, close to 70 of the people diagnosed with care and it will be a longterm survivor. Some of that because of the Early Detection and some of it is because of better treatment and some of it is because of the support of care. And also that people, they are living longer in general when you are passing cancer, so many people are live willing. After 30 seconds, you could cure the cancer, but can you prevent them from happening . Thats a great question and there are strategies now, but they include the following one. One is diet and exercise and quitting smoking and all those things will make a difference, plus, they could reduce your risk. The environment, its a tricky thing as far as whats in the air and what youre breathing and the water and the soil and the foods that you eat. Yes, it is true. We may not show it, but it is important to change the bigger picture. Thank you for bringing a message of hope and happy holidays. It is cranberry bread pudding. Got to have a little bit of that. Stale bread is good. It means it will absorb more of your liquid. Once you add that in there and it gets kind of soupy looking, stop your mixer, youre all set. Dont worry. First time i did it, i was scared too. Youre going to put it in one of your glass dishes. The butter is already in here. You put it in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, and then stir it one time and put it back for another 30 minutes.
