Were told police evacuated two neighbors. To the best of our knowledge, no one has been hurt. Were also following a developing story in Northern Virginia where the socalled black hat bandits have done it again. Todays bank robbery took place in falls church not far from where the serial robbers struck before. Witnesses say they saw the socalled black hat bandits run through the thick brush and right back through this area behind the bank. Thats why detectives are investigating this area right now to see if theres any clues left behind. Two guys looked like they were both carrying duffle bags of some sort or another. They had on long black peacoats. Reporter todays robbery happened around 12 45 this afternoon. Authorities say three men are involved. Two armed men one black one white who entered the bank, and one who waits in the getaway car. Im told today as all of their other alleged robberies, they were in and out of the bank in under 2 minutes. All in all it happened pretty fast. It did. It was all a matter of seconds. Maybe 2 seconds before the cops actually showed up on the property is when they ran out of the building. Just missed them. Reporter while inside the fbi says theyve gotten more brazen with each robbery attempt, threatening customers and tellers at times pointing and holding guns to customers heads and jumping the teller counters as they make their demands. Witnesses say the men were wearing black trench coats or peacoats and black hats as well as masks covering up their faces. According to the fbi this wells fargo is the eighth bank in Northern Virginia and maryland that the black hat bandits have hit since january 2nd. Six of the eight Bank Robberies have taken place in Northern Virginia. The other two took place in arnold and waldorf, maryland.
