School officials in frederick and montgomery counties maryland wont announce delays or closures for tomorrow until theyre able to check out the refreezing situation overnight. These things are awesome. Who wouldnt want to be out here driving a humvee. National guard troops have been known to rescue hundreds of motorists stranded on snow clogged interstates. They just didnt have to this time. Everybodys got a little disappointment. Were glad that businesses are back and operational. Everyones safe. Business as usual. Tonight dozens of smeco crews are out working to restore the power. Early this morning the number of people without power was more than double, about 14,000. Boston got about a foot and binghamton, new york got 30 inches of snow. New york city was spared worst of the storm. By midday many people were out and about walking in central park. Kids were sledding on blocked off streets. Along with south jersey shore, the noreaster kicked up the tide, causing moderate flooding. Streets were shut down. Beach erosion is a big concern.
