Firefighters pass those too far gone to help those who have a chance. The scenario, an airplane collides with a helicopter and catches fire causing two more cars to crash at the end of the runway. A parked Police Chopper circles the airport to find some of the injured in the water. Eagle 1 deploys a rescue attack. They want to make this scenario as real as possible. They are testing all the First Responders from across the region. How they communicate. And how they handle the situation. It is a very exciting experience because we are getting to help First Responders practice real world emergencies and learning at the same time how they respond. Reporter this is the largest drill conducted at the airport with 550 First Responders. Airport authority pe volunteers including 100 patients transported to area hospitals. We would like to be able to help them practice so they can avoid bigger disasters in the future. Reporter at Reagan National airport, surae chinn, wusa9. Dc police were called to the 800 block of 21st street just before 11 00 this morning where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim died a short time later and police say they have a suspect in custody.
