In Court Records seek ing relief from payment an attorney for fauntroy says the former congressman lacks the capacity to enter in to such an agreement. We reported last week a bench warrant has been issued for his arrest because he failed to show up in Prince Georges County. Hes being sued for writing a 50,000 check that bounced. Theres talk of an intervention in dubai one last ditch attempt to bring the 82yearold Walter Fauntroy back here. When you talk about a 650,000 loan thats apparently not being paid back and the bench warrant youve got to wonder what hes doing for money over there. Good question youre asking and they dont know. His friends have no idea. Hes having them send him money but they have no idea where hes staying, what hes doing to pay his bills how hes eating. All these things are leading them to hink the to hink to think the guy is not stable at this point. A man who had a dad killed by a Police Officer will be part of a commission. He had been under investigation for the nonviolent crime of taking bets on football games. When the undercover officer set him up for an arrest, a s. W. A. T. Team went in with guns drawn. Just an apology. I want to see an im sorry in the officers eyes that killed my son. Reporter anita and sal gave this stach gave this statue to their church as part of a memorial to their son salvatore. Nine years ago he was shot in his home by an officer during a s. W. A. T. Arrest. I wear black. I just said i would wear black until i got out of that courtroom. But i didnt get in it so here i am. Reporter they finally settled the case for 2 million but anita believes if they kept fighting it might have led to changes which could have prevented the Police Shooting of john gear and another unarmed man. When a Police Officer gets up in the morning, i dont think he says im going to go shoot somebody today. Reporter sal is pleased he was asked to be on the commission looking in to police practices. Police officers are guided in their daily work by the policies that exist that determine their behavior. The officer who shot him said it was an accident. The commonwealths attorney agreed and no charges were filed. In the gear case, a judge has ordered the county to explain what changes were made in the Police Department since the shooting and the judge ordered that information be released by april 20th. It was that and so many other details that led Charlottesville Police chief jim longo to conclude this. I want to be clear about something. That doesnt mean something terrible didnt happen to jackie on the evening of september 28th, 2012. Were just not able to gather sufficient facts to conclude what that something may have been. Rolling stone magazine published a jaw dropping account gang rape of a uva freshman known only as jackie and questioned the administrative response. Other journalists poked holes and Rolling Stone admitted that at jackies request they did not contact the man who she claimed orchestrated the attacks. Police chief jim longo said they started that investigation after the article broke and jackie did not cooperate. Through her lawyer she refuses to give a statement or answer any questions. Hundreds of police hours were dedicated to track down information and interviewing more than 70 potential witnesses. A Small Community was hit at the heart over the weekend when three people from manchester maryland were killed on a crash on route 50 involving a tacoma park Police Officer. This has been a very challenging time for our family and also the friends of my dad and susanna and jason and were very grateful for all of the people who have shown us their love.
