Darrell best has been a cop for 25 years, and we now know hes been in trouble before these latest allegations. Two Law Enforcement sources say best had been promoted to sergeant and then demoted back down to officer following an allegation of Sexual Misconduct possibly at the d. C. Police academy. A Police Spokeswoman and the d. C. Police union declined to comment on the earlier allegation saying it was a personnel matter. But best is now facing four new counts of sexually assaulting two different teenagers. One says best assaulted her three times at his southeast d. C. Church where he is founder and senior pastor. A then 17yearold says best took her to his fifth floor office at Police Headquarters and climbed on top of her. The younger teens father confronted best and he began to cry allegedly and apologized, but did not confess. New research from the American Heart Association shows many hispanic americans at high risk for cardiovascular disease. In a study that tracked more than 500 hispanic americans experts found nearly 78 were considered metabolically unhealthy meaning they either have high blood pressure, high blood sugar or both. Those risk factors were also found to have an even bigger effect on the hardened arteries than obesity does. Experts call for more nutrition and exercise programs within the latino community.
