Reporter the reason why the inspectors were waiting for drivers like tommy, a stateat home dad that drives parttime for uberx was that they complained that the ride sharing drivers were becoming a nuance by trying to pick up people hailing the regular cabs. But in this case he did nothing wrong. That he picked up a passenger who ordered the ride through the uber app. The first one is 1,000 for an unlicensed dc operator. Reporter he got three tickets totaling 2,100 in fines. Several drivers received 11 tickets for illegally picking up the street hails, but they are saying its an abuse of power.
