But the way the 15yearold plays now is very different than when he was a kid. Good luck, man. Doctors amputated noahs left leg above the knee when he was four years old because he had bone cancer. But the time it didnt seem like there would be much of a sports future. It was his leg or his life. But noah has a very bright future. Noahs athletic ability and good soccer sense got the attention of the National Amputee soccer team last year. The team received a waiver allowing the then 14yearold to be on their tryout roster. The youngest player ever. The head coach says noah has an excellent chance to make the team, which competes in the amputee world cup in november. That makes me feel real proud of myself. Soon to be sophomore plays games with both legs. I thought he was really good and strong and he kept up with all of us. Scored a couple goals. Hes a fantastic athlete. You know, youll see as you watch him, his ability to go up and down the field is shocking. You wouldnt expect someone to move as fast as he can move. With able bodied players, he is a little different. When hes on the field with other amputee players, he says its a level playing field. Until he is actually announced as a member of the u. S.
