As far as the new sick policy, i talked to a lot of Union Members who tell me they feel like its a back doorway to get them fired. They came out in full force. Union workers picketing in front of metro headquarters. Loud, proud, unafraid to tell people how they really feel. The general manager telling us we cannot go on the property and talk to our kind of [bleep] is that . [ cheering and applause ] reporter their beef, contract negotiations. We asked for 2 . Reporter plus this new sick policy. The goal is to be sure that we are providing the service. Lets break it down. There are two buckets, excused absences and unexcused. You have a doctors appointment and you call three days ahead, excused. No points against you. Wake up sick and call out that day, unexcused. The points stack up. If you reach three unexcused in a 12 month period, counseling with a supervisor. Six, one day suspension. Nine, three day suspension. Ten absences, that can be your job. If you wake up and your child or you are sick, call in sick. You can do that. If there is a pattern, we basically want to step up discipline after that.
