A documentary photographer, riding along with firefighters, is there to capture the moment that firefighters pull a young woman, not breathing, out of the house, assisted by a sheriffs deputy. Immediately, a rescuer starts cpr, while another works with a defibrillator to restart her heart, literally brought back from the edge of death. She was the second person to be pulled from the house. And both are alive tonight. Heres their uncle who visited the house this afternoon. [ inaudible ] reporter every second counted during the crisis here this morning. And this whth track for a very different and very tragic ending. But thats where quick thinking sheriffs deputy out here, and a new app he had on his cell phone, complete changed the trajectory of this event. Pulse point is an app that monitors First Responders and let you know when someone is having a hard time calling for help. Sometimes app users are closer than First Responders and can get there to help. This morning, a sheriffs deputy, who uses pulse point was alerted to the fire emergency by the app. He got there before firefighters and realized they were rushing to the wrong spot, due to a confused 911 call. The deputy radioed the correction, saving critical minutes, cinding help into the sending help into the house and saving people. I am grateful. [ inaudible ] and god bless them. God used them. To do a mighty work. Reporter live now, in front of this house, it is clear. And professional firefighters. If it hadnt been for the deputy. And that app he was using. An app, by the way, that any of us can download, this might not have worked out at all. They my not have gotten here in time. He is named Corporal Thomas russell of the Prince Georges County sheriffs department. He had colleagues out here, working with him as well. Two adults rescued from the house are both it special needs students, according to neighbors. They have not been identified by family members or firefighters. So they are related. But i think the way in which the executive order was plut putt in plus the lack of consultation with the american allies, both in the American World and out.
