In todays Family Health controlling the rhythm rhythms of the heart, up to 250,000 americans die each year for sudden arrhythmic death syndrome. Reporter if the hearts rhythm is irregular, it can cause sudden death. There are pacemakers and certain medicines like beta blockers that can stablize the heart and get it back to a normal rhythm, but that doesnt work for everyone in. Those cases doctors use a catheter ablation to target the source of the arrhythmia inside the heart. First the focus was to ablade rhythms from inside the heart. With this procedure a catheter is placed underneath the sternum to reach the lining of the heart. We get a lot of questions about safety, security, what the Public Safety agencies are doing to combat any issues. People drive drunk all the time and we dont freak out about alcohol. If anything, it will just slow people down and not make them drive faster.
