This morning were watching a storm system up across the great lakes with showers, heavier ones toward michigan. Locally, were watching light showers coming out of west virginia. You can see the cold lot of to the northeast and how east of the blue ridge now weve got the temperatures, the cold blues. But you go to the west side all that green and the 50s there. Thats not a lot of distance to go and have amazing temperature contrasts. Arlington is 45 this morning with 42 in rockville. Outside on our michael son weather camera unlike yesterday, really good visibility this morning with a temperature of 43. Feeling like 39. We finally did get to 46 yesterday at midnight. That was the high for the day. Dew point is up to 40. So a lot more humidity in the air. Thats going to be the case. National temps really tell the story. You can see the 60s at this hour in kansas city. Chicago is up to 55 degrees right now. So this warmth is surging ahead of a storm system which is now bringing us some colder air behind it. Casper is only 13. This storm system for us is going to mean some warmth tomorrow along with the threat for thunderstorms. A big dip. Look at the jet stream. You can follow the clouds coming down the west coast dipping into mexico and then up here in the middle of the country with the snow on the back side of this through minnesota and those showers and storms were watching that are surging northward now in toward michigan during this Early Morning tuesday. Locally just a few of these sprinkles are going to try to come across over the next couple of hours. A lot of them will be rung out in the mountains and well see them there as we go through the morning hours.
