The Environmental Protection agency is suing pepco tonight, alleging that the Power Company is dumping too many pollutants into the anacostia river. In a lawsuit filed friday in u. S. District court, the epa says minerals from stormwater discharge from its bening road site have made their way into the anacostia 131 times since 2009. The epa wants the Utility Company to pay more than 37,000 for each day of the violations. And it wants pepco to come up with a plan to fix the issue. In a statement to wusa9 pepco says it is committed to compliance with all Environmental Standards and it is working with the epa on a solution. So far police have made no arrests. He was starting journalism at hampton. A shooting in downtown Colorado Springs leaves four people dead including the suspected gunman. Police confronted the suspect in front of a wendys restaurant. The man reportedly shot at officers. They returned fire. The gunman died at the scene. Officers are still investigating the circumstances surrounding how those other three victims died. But one witness reported seeing the suspects randomly shooting is at people on the street.
