When they got here to put out the car fire they discovered a body inside, so the question now is, was this fire set or was it some kind of an accident . We dont know that point. This is the latest violence in the city this weekend. Earlier today there was a shooting about 4 30 over on hamlen street, and that indication was there was something going on there. A shoe on the sidewalk here in the 3,000 block of 20th street as police check for evidence in the latest shooting, just a short distance from people using a recreation center. This shooting left a usually calm neighborhood a bit shaken. I heard a series of gunshots and i came outside. I wanted to see if i saw anybody in the neighborhood in case Something Like this happened, but it was pretty shocking. Reporter what touched off the shooting is not clear. This time the victim lived, taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound. Its strange, two shootings in two days, unheard of, especially for this neighborhood. Its a tightknit community and most of the people who live here are retired. Some of them still work but we are close here and we know each other. Reporter five blocks away on 25th street a shooting killed an individual, the 106th murder victim in the city this year. Two other victims were wounded and they are still in the hospital and were told everybody in this neighborhood knows each other but those we approached didnt want to talk and a few asked us to go away. Theres been no arrests made in any of shows shooting incidents earlier. Its been a violent weekend in washington, d. C. Wusa 9. Police are offering a 25,000 dollars reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction in this case. Police arrested three men in connection with yesterdays killing of a 17yearold immigrant fromel salvador as he was walking to the school bus stop. The neighbors we spoke to are relieved with the quick work by police. Its shocking this happened. Im glad they got the people. Reporter the people in this sterling neighborhood are processing what has happened over the last 36 hours after a 17yearold was shot and killed yesterday morning as we walked to the bus stop. Were proud and happy to announce that we have suspects in custody. Reporter the two men here have been charged with accessory and the Sheriffs Office believes they are undocumented immigrants. The third arrested, a 17yearold juvenile, charged with Second Degree murder. They want to try him as an adult. We dont know what the reason was exactly, however it may be gang related. Reporter the sheriff adds the victim and suspects knew each other and lived in the same neighborhood. The two older men were picked up in this apartment complex blocks from the shooting. He has lived in the neighborhood since january are last year with his month and uncle a month after moving from el salvador. Tributes to the High School Sophomore have been pouring out and neighbors are just glad the suspects have been caught. Wusa 9. State police say the driver failed to obey a traffic stop and let police on a chase. The driver crashed that car early this morning. He has been eye identified as 32yearold robinson.
