I was just explaining how Property Damage can happen during a peaceful protest. Reporter and the plan she laid out tonight includes deploying the National Guard as soon as they become available and instituting a curfew that this last from 10 00 p. M. To 5 00 a. M. At least for the next week. A lot of people questioning her on social media tonight as well. Thank you, ellison. And Maryland Governor larry hogan said he has been in daily contact with the mayor and he declared state of emergency when the mayor finally requested it. People have the right to protest and express their frustration. But baltimore, the city families deserve peace and safety in their communities. And these acts of violence and destruction of property cannot and will not be tolerated. Hogan also said the state of emergency will remain in effect as long as it is necessary. But hours before that violence erupted the family of freddie gray laid that young man to rest. Mourners filled the church for the funeral and some speakers were calling gray a martyr who died in the cause of exposing Police Injustice and even though every single speaker said the protests must be nonviolent there was no massing the sense of masking the sense of anger. After this day we are going to keep marching and demanding justice. Get your black self up and change this city. The church put out a call tonight for all available clergy to gather there.
