Most of our staff bought their tickets here at the tenley mart in northwest. Chief meteorologist topper shutt told me your chances of getting struck by lightning were 1,000 times greater than hitting the jackpot. That certainly didnt stop hundreds from buying tickets here today, millions more across the country. All those people had at least one thing in common and it was the money. Its a numbers game. 24, 7. Reporter some powerball players will look anywhere for those numbers. Give me a number. Reporter 15. All right, thanks. Reporter thats the percentage i want of your winnings. Oh, my. Reporter the most daunting number . The odds are not good, chances of winning about 1 in 175 million. I think i have as good of chance with anybody else. Reporter sure.
