Macys was the only store that stayed open until 9 30 and the lights stayed on. It was crazy. The lights shut off. We was in the store. They say everybody get out. Nerve racking up. I was scared. I did not know what was going on. People made assumptions that there was a shooting. People were just spreading fast rumors, not knowing what they were saying. It was something different. I was scared. Why were you scared . Because i didnt know what was going on. I thought that we wouldnt be able to get out the mall. Reporter it turns out it was a power outage and Dominion Virginia Power says wires underground malfunctioned so crew, as you can see, are here and working to replace those bad wires. The mall and a dozen other businesses were affected tonight because of this big power outage. They say they are working to hopefully get everything back on line tomorrow morning. An entire Community Came out to Oak Crest School to rally for six year old Bensten Schone, who was injured when his sled collided with a moving car outside the vacant home. The accident happened when an adult was there. You could be that happen. That could happen to your child in a minute. It is a parents worst nightmare. The family updated supporters, saying he is tracking movement but still cant talk. It could take another week to assess any brain damage. The support for the young hockey fan took over. In maryland, a homeowner says her yard is riddled with mysterious sink holes. She turned to 9news for help when she could not get Prince Georges County to help her. She says the sink holes are showing up in her yards and her neighbors. She tells 9 news the latest hole is 10 to 20 feet deep. She is afraid her dog could be swallowed up by the hole. It squares me. It looks like im scared. I dont know what to do or how to save me. Prince georges county inspectors contacted us shortly after our story aired and say they will check out the property on monday to determine if the home is safe. After that, the county Environmental Department will have to determine the cause of the sink holes. The fate of Kayla Mueller is unknown tonight. Her family is hopeful the 26 year old is still alive. Jordans government says tonight its military was nowhere near the spot where isis militants claim the woman was killed during a Jordanian Air strike. Kayla was kidnapped while in syria, where she was doing aid work. She is the only known hostage held by the islamic state. The main character in the podcast serial has been granted the right to an appeal. He was convicted of murdering his exgirlfriend in baltimore more than a decade ago.
