Reporter its been almost one month to the day that a man jumped the fence, made it past secret service and into the white house. Tonight it ended a little differently. You might say it ended better. Secret service says the man did not make it nearly as far. The jumper was arrested immediately after jumping the north lawn fence initially subdued by k9 teams and then arrested by secret service agents. They say the 23yearold was unarmed, but did he manage to injure two of the secret service dogs as they took help down. They were taken to the vet. The 23yearold was taken to the hospital where he remains with charges pending. The white house was immediately placed on lockdown as secret service set up a perimeter with agents on foot and vehicles surrounding the white house for several hours. They put up extra fencing and shut down Lafayette Square as pennsylvania avenue to foot traffic. They have reopened and many tourists trying to get a view of the white house had no idea what was going on. We told many of them what was going on, that there was another jumper, and nearly everyones reaction was the same, basically saying what . This happened again . And then asking did he make it as far as the last jumper did and as we said, according to the secret service, this jumper did not. More trouble for the secret service in hot water after a report shows agents left their posts the Homeland Security Department Inspector general questioning why the secret service sent agents to a private residence in la plata, maryland. In 2011 the secret service sent agents from their posts near the white house to the home of an employee who was having a personal dispute with a neighbor. The secret Service Employee who lived down this dirt road in rural charles county, maryland told her supervisor she was being harassed by a neighbor who had assaulted her father. According to this Inspector Generals report, the attack resulted in the loss of several of her fathers teeth. The employee was an assistant to then director mark sullivan. She was going to put off getting it examined, but thankfully her mom urged her not to wait. Theres a moment where your blood runs cold, that feeling of this is not happening. Reporter eight years later round 2, another selfexam found yet another malignant lump, this time in her other breast. This happened just four months after a normal mammogram. She was a 33yearold nursing mom who had just given birth to twins. My tumors ade 3 tumors. Theyre very fast growing. So we went ahead and did chemotherapy again. Reporter christy considered genetic counseling but decided against it. I guess i just didnt really want to know. Reporter at this point she thought she beat the cancer for good, but nine years later at age 41 she was diagnosed again. When i was diagnosed the third time, my husband and i were in the office and we just cracked up. We couldnt stop laughing like are you kidding . Reporter and this could have been the start of a very hard road. After a procedure to remove her breast doctors discovered a threatening buildup inside her milk ducts. When they did do the mastectomy, they found all sorts of dcis, all kinds of little monsters in there waiting to attack. Reporter as much as she could, christy kept her cancer journey private, but shes speaking out now because she believes her story might save a life. Andrea roane, wusa9. Thats quite a journey. Christy underwent 12 chemotherapy sessions at inova and eventually got that genetic testing. She was testing positive for the brac 2 gene mutation and had her ovaries removed.
