More than 100 Million People in 22 states tonight dealing with snow and some bone chilling temperatures. Including all of us. The snow started falling this afternoon. Its now tapering off in most areas. Schools are cancelling classes for tomorrow. You can see them on the bottom of your screen. There are crews throughout the area. First lets get right to meteorologist topper shutt. What can we expect overnight . Heres the problem, like a flash freeze overnight. Whats fallen is not going away soon. Lets talk about the advisories. The district is still under a Winter Weather advisory, the immediate metro area is, as long as Fairfax County and Montgomery County and across into Prince Georges County, howard county. So primarily because the snow will taper off there last, well see it taper off west to east as we go through tonight. Hagerstown, winchester, folks to the west are cleared now of the Winter Weather advisories. Snowfall totals, pretty impressive. Damascus had 4 1 2 inches, North Potomac had 3, centreville 2 1 2, percyville 5 inches and fairfax 1. 5 inches. Heres a look at radar. You can see the back edge of the precipitation pushing through central Montgomery County. In fact, its already through Loudoun County, no more snow for you tonight. It will take a while to end east of town like Prince Georges County, anne arundel and points off to the east. This is the latest image, the last bit of snow. Reporter its not snowing anymore, but certainly more than a dusting in virginia and Loudoun County around leesburg. It snowed a good five, six hours blanketing the entire area, especially roads. The roads have started to clear up a little bit with plows coming through, more specifically the a man roads, back roads still a main roads, back roads still a little dicey, route 7, leesburg pike, Loudoun County parkway and main roads down Fairfax County, 66, 123, fairfax and western parkways,ing toll roads fared okay and look pretty good. You should still practice caution, but main road look relatively good. As usual its the smaller prose, some of the back roads, the side roads, ones running through residential areas that remain kind of dicey as plows continue to work around the area. Inspectors closed food world indian market and its neighbor big daddys smoke house on wisteria drive, both for operating without hot water. During our visit the owner let us check the hot water serving both locations. Thats hot and you can see from the steam rising from that. Inspectors also cited food world for floors and walls in the refrigerator being visibly soiled with excess blood from raw meats. The owner said this fresh goat blood was from a recent delivery and hes instructed workers to clean everything thoroughly every day. In New Carrollton a complaint prompted inspectors to close nannys and olgas for operating without running water. A worker said the owner was not in and declined our request to check the water. In laurel unsanitary . Inside the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. Thats what inspectors said about its cafe on schweitzer lane. Inspectors called well bean cafe with a severe mice infestation and ordered mice damaged and contaminated food discarded. A november inspection at the wssc cafe also cited a mice infestation. The closure inspection was a followup and identified several mice droppings observed still on the lids of both food containers, on the floors in several rooms and mice damaged walls. In a statement Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission says, the well bean cafe is contracted by wssc to run our cafeteria and we certainly regret the circumstances that led to the closing and corrections have now been made.
