There is just a big scratch on the cornea. And that scratch heals over the next few days, after surgery. Snow would he have this so he could see down the field better both of these surgeries, prk and lasix, ends up with the same result. Most people looking for good distance vision. Yes. Un corrected distance vision. It is just different ways of shaping down, shape, reshaping also differences in the recovery, more down time with the prk . The disadvantage to prk, are that there is a big scratch, so it is pretty uncomfortable for two, three, four days after surgery. The vicks kind of mediocre for the first week, gets good at two weeks, doesnt get to be great for three, four weeks after surgery. Do we know when he had it done . I understanded he had it done in january. Oh. So it should be healed . Yes, should be healed. Usually the results generally after the first month, between the two procedures, are identical. Ill be darn. So the advantage to lasix, less discomfort after surgery, and faster vision recovery. The disadvantage to lasix is you have a flap. Creating the flap is not always perfect. It is very, very good, but not always perfect. Then the healing of the flap is not always perfect. Well, carson doesnt have a flap. Hes flapless. Right. Hes un flammable. Thank you. If a patient has flap and they get poked in the eye, as people in sports, athletes. Thats the reason. Thats fast naturing. Then you theoretically, doesnt happen often but can move and cause a problem and then youre in big trouble. You know sometimes the defensive players will try to poke you in the eye. Right. All the more reason to have prk. Like a shield. If i were a professional athlete, if youre good candidate, i would have prk too. They say defensive players will get in, there try to screw your vision up. Now they cant do that to him. Other down side, to lasix, are that some patient, cornea are little thin or little weak. And lasix weakens the cornea little bit more. Some people are not good candidates for lasix or might be good candidate for prk. Do you know award cornea . You told me that before when i was here whether we talked about contact lenses, and i was going to mention you are not a good candidate for prk or lasix because of your warmed cornias. And it is one of those things where they, before this, before she went to court, they were calling the late night seeing what they were saying during their monologue, you know, hour the late night comedians, how they have their monologue, they tell jokes.
