Reporter happened to be n his property. He just happened to be checking out his property when he stumbling upon the car, and the great grandmother, as well as the five year old child who were about 50 yards from that vehicle. What a scary experience for this woman and her great granddaughter. Again they were found stranded in an isolated rural area of virginia. Seventyone year old barbara briley, and five year old la myra disappeared Christmas Eve during a road trip from mays landing new jersey to north carolina. Law enforcement officers across three states performed extensive grounds and air searches, last night, a man who just happened to be checking on his property, like i mentioned, came across briley and the child. They were outside of the vehicle, in a wooded area, police say, the 71 year old was unconscious, and taken to the hospital in critical condition. The five year old is okay. Miss briley and la myra outside the vehicle probably 50 yards from the vehicle at a tree. There was some apple juice boxes, some apples, some other items that appear they probably had been eating and drinking several times during that time period. Police think briley became disoriented during their trip. She drove up dirt path. Her car got stuck. Police think the pair had been in the area for days, but what a relief that they were found alive. Several days after they had been reported missing. Karen . Just hoping for them to have speedy recovery, jenny, thank you so much. It is 7 06. And we do have very sad news to report. There is a new jersey state trooper who fell ill after responding to the worlds Trader Center attacks, who has now died, lieutenant bill, diagnosed when malignant brain tumor back in 2015, he died yesterday. Officer joined the state police in 1994. He leaves behind his wife and their their children. This morning a woman is in stable condition after she was shot in the arm and leg. The 26 year old victim says this all happened at tenth and west nor streets, around 1 00 a. M. This morning. So far though police have been unable to locate the scene. The victim, not cooperating, with police. A lot of twisted metal here. Fortunately, only minor injuries. Police are blaming this crash in kensington on drunk driver. This happened around midnight at second and berks. Once again, three people suffered minor injuries. So many family and friends came out to remember a victim, a 33 year old man shot to death while driving in his car on tuesday. Police are now saying that the victim, terrell bruce, was killed by an exgirlfriend, who had confessed to the crime. Police say that this victim, right there, bruce, and 27 year old, martina west cott the suspect got into an argumentment in the middle of driving on the road, at some point investigators say she pulled out a gun and shot him once in the head. So, he lost control of the vehicle. You can see what happens, he crashes into another car. Turns on it side. This is over on walnut lane. Now friends are remembering this victim as someone who enjoyed helping others. He was a great man, a great uncle, a great brother, and he cared about people. He wanted the best for everybody. He wanted to see you win even if it didnt mean anything beneficial for him. Police say the suspect has been charged with murder. 7 08. Security cameras have captured very bold robbery, had at kohls in bucks county. You see the suspect right there wasted no time making off with tens of thousands of dollars in jewelry. We have such variety of precipitation throughout the area, making for tricky travel for many different reasons. As we zoom in, and show you whats happening in different neighborhoods, we had all snow in Chester County last time we looked at this. Now some of it has changed over to rain around east marlboro, up toward west goshen, not too far from west chester, over to heavy rain, in parts of new jersey, around gloucester, new jersey, glassboro, very heavy downpours, so thats another way that your travel is tricky. Look at delaware, the rain has made it to parts of the jersey shore, Cape May County, getting some that far rain. And dover, delaware, as well. Then you move further northward. Were in the ago couple of things. Number one, the average profit per flip is about 60,000. And number two, this is happening from corporations. Getting money from the lenders, it is tougher to do so, do you have put more money down, get higher interest rate, not only individuals, but companies that are buying in bulk and then flipping. Interest rates are also up. Apparently not playing a factor, are we seeing banks being more lenient when it comes to lending . Banks are loosening up little bit. But for this particular type of buyer, some of the paperwork has lessened, but it is still pretty tough to get the credit that you need to make the purchase. But as Mortgage Rates do inch up, there are over 4 now, you know, there is that point where if they just rise too much, theyre going to stiffle any housing recoveries. And more unaffordable. Now lets talk about samsung. New issue, whats the problem they have now . First, note seven, blowing up, then it was the washing machine, now this, if you have galaxy s7, s7 edge, or active, and you have an issue with your rear camera, in a sense, that you never dropped your phone, and the glass shattered out of no where, thats major problem. And go to samsung and you complain and they say oh, you got to pay for the fix. Youre like wait, i just bought the new phone, now i have to pay for the fix when i didnt do anything wrong . We dont know the cause for. This there is a law firm that is getting involved. Oh, no. So if this has happened to you, contact the law firm maybe they can work on something. But it is dicey. It is tricky in many places. To the north of us it is snow. To the south of us it is rain. And inbetween there is probably a little bit of freezing rain and sleet. So in philadelphia, we mostly see rain. You see little pink on the radar in delco. And in parts of montgomery and bucks county, up there, the dividing line between the rain and the snow is moving further northward. So, wouldnt be surprised before long to see that snow change over to rain in allentown. Bus stop buddy ready for all of it. And 41 degrees where it has been raining pretty heavily this morning in dover, delaware. Wet roadways this morning, in philadelphia. With 37 degrees, southerly wind at 7 miles an hour, 37 feels like 32 out there. And probably up to about 47 degrees when all is said and done. The rain should taper off in time for the evening rush, which will be a lot less troublesome than it is out there right now. So take it easy. It is 7 32. We are going to check traffic for you right now. We start off with this look at i95, northbound, at the academy road off ramp, it is an accident there. So folks having to slow down to get by there. And you can see, that the roadways there are wet, as well. Route 42 freeway in new jersey, it is wet. But everybodys getting a long okay, just speeds slower than average, the way it should be. Another accident in philadelphia. This one at roosevelt boulevard southbound. Just after tyson avenue. And the road is closed, that part of the boulevard, so use the outer lanes. Because this happened in the inner lanes of the boulevard. Route 73, in maple shade. We had accident much earlier this morning, before the bad weather hit. And the travel lanes are now open there. It is getting better. Crews are still cleaning up that earlier accident this morning. Happening right now, another heart break out every hollywood. Debbie reynolds has died just day after losing her daughter Carrie Fisher. Reynolds suffered a massive stroke while she was making those funeral arrangement for her daughters, and her last word to her son were i miss her so much. I want to be with car. Ie. Remember Carrie Fisher on flight from los angeles to l a on friday when she went into cardiac arrest, she died tuesday. She was 60 years old. So, checking out the papers today, the front cover of the new york date i news. Her heart broke. Talking about can you die of a broken heart . Is it possible that we can get to be so sad that we actually die after broken heart . Hi, doctor mike, how are you doing . Well, this is a story that we see from time to time. In fact, it hams. It is called a broken heart syndrome. And if you lose a loved one, it is common that the spouse or loved one dies, in fact, your risk every having a heart attack or stroke doubles in the next 30 days after lose ago loved one. Now there is a lot of theories about how this hams. One, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, youre very emotionally stressed out. But it can also be due to platelets. I have a little video here. Plate rest are the things that circulate through your blood. People have see the white things in there this they a law you if you get cut to heal up stop bleeding. When you are depressed they actually get a little more more aggravated. So youre at higher risk of getting a clot. So if you think about it, Debbie Reynolds suffered a stroke. And i will bet you, my little doctor house hat on, suggest she probably had a stroke from increased stickiness of those platelets, because she was overwhelmingly depressed and upset about the loss of her caughter. So doctor house here, the platelets actually, what, stored and then released . Platelets always in our bodies and the blood, when you cut yourself they theyre partly responsible response for how you stop bleeding. So the theory is depression actually has effect on those little platelets, make them stickier, makes them more likely to form a clot. Our inch ten turn al cuts, internal wounds, so sad, physical manifestation of what we feel. Depression is a significant problem. We see this in people that have had a heart attack. And it is really i imperitive that awful us when we have a loved one thats going through this, to be there for them. Give them support. And if they show signs of depression, get them on medication. And counselling, absolutely. It is interesting you mention medication. When were going through time of grief, sometimes we forget about taking our medicine, we forget about eating. We forget about that rest. That plaza factor. Surely does. And some people, is it the chicken or the egg, which comes first . I happen to believe that just being depressed makes you more likely due to the things we just talked b but if you dont take your medicine, you dont take care of yourself, you dont eat, it is a big problem. So depression, anxiety, all every those things, have significant effect on the body. And so, there go. Specially losing a child, have to have your child pre decease you can be so devastating for any parent. Not the order of things in the way that you would hope it would work out. So, my son and my daughter, who i love, there was a median on late night tv who said one time having a child is like wearing your heart on the outside of your body. And my little daughter amy was sick a couple of weeks ago. And let me tell you, i was just a puddle of mush. I love you, amy. I love you, nicholas. You dont want to see your loved ones suffer. Thats exactly it. Well, and kids, especially, really hard. I mean, i lost my dad. And there is a lot of being alive is not always a bowl of cherries. But do you have take one day at a time. And always remember, folks, remember this, as the new year comes, enjoy every day because you dont know when your last day is here. So enjoy. Enjoy the moment. Barbara briley and five year old la myra disappeared on Christmas Eve during road trip from mays landing new jersey to north carolina. Law enforcement officers across three states performed extensive grounds and air searches, last night a man who just happened to be checking on his property came across briley and the child. They were outside of the vehicle in a wooded area. Police say the 71 year old was unconscious, and taken to the hospital in critical condition. The five year old is okay. Just a day after her daughter Carrie Fisher died. And i guess it wasnt a total shock, because you can imagine, i think think think it is a pocket, shock but not surprising given everything she was going through, you know, terrible news, happening with her daughter. Right. Then this. And then were you saying that she died of broken heart. She told her son just moments ago, before she fell ill, i want to be with carr the ie heart break to go hear, that the 84 year old of course suffering massive stroke. This all coming so much to take in. If you have ever lost a loved one, just the grief and having to deal with it, then having to plan a funeral. And as parent you never want to go before your children. So it is heart break to go hear that this morning. Yes. So Carrie Fisher has a daughter named billie. She has lost her mother and her grandmother, in the space of two days. Todd fisher is carrys brother. Hes lost his mother and his sister. You just cant even conceive. I mean, it is a while before you can take it in, almost feel like you go out of your bod when you are shocked like this. You hear couples been together 50, 06 years, then one unfortunately passes, then couple of days, some even hours later. Doctor mike talked about this, he said platelet, some of these platelets released in the body cant take it, we saw it with the case of having a stroke, other cases having heart attack. I think there is just, trying to feel like normally the platelets are the things that heal the wound on our skin to stop the blood. So literally trying to stop wounds on the inside of us.
