Look at the cars all piled up. This guys hugging the concrete barrier. This is i295 right near route 30, which is the white horse pike, in new jersey. Now, the accident happened actually on the southbound side right as everyone was kind of going into the big fog that has form here, along 295. Look how thick the fog is. And then, look at the back up, coming northbound, so you got police and crews working on both sides of 295 in the area of route 30. There is also an accident eastbound lanes of 422 right near trooper road interchange, watch for delays there, that tractortrailer accident at the lansdale interchange, of the pennsylvania turnpike, he wacked into the concrete barrier, right in the toll plaza. Dont adjust your set. This is how thick it is in northeast philadelphia. Somewhere in here, is i95 near cottman avenue. And there is an accident south in the fog here on, here he is, 95 southbound, between academy and cottman avenue. So this is the magic hour where the fog comes in thick. Theyre wondering if both shot at each other or were being shot by somebody else. But next to the dead guy, 5 feet away. They found a gun and theyre wondering if it was his, whether he fired the bullet that wounded the guy who may have run two blocks before there was more shooting. Maybe there was fear of crime outside these homes before this. Because detective talking to the homeowners called police said the people came outside once it was safe with all of the police there, and they said, hey, we have surveillance cameras, pointing to this area, and we may have caught before what happened and what happened on our surveillance system, and you are welcome to look at our video. Again, this is 295 northbound and southbound, in the area of route 30. Now the accident is northbound. And thats where were seeing the most delays right now. I was thinking wow i posted this yesterday, so many people are oh, i feel this way, oh, my gosh, get so upset when i hear about all of the things going on all of the choices we have when it comes to this election. So are you saying could this particular Election Year be making you sick . Mentally ill . I mean, fill with you anxiety . Maybe physically ill . So, it reminded us of the drama every time we turn on our tv because of the adds for both candidate, take a look. commercials . People like you, you, and you. I know more about isis than the generals do. John mccain, a war here open, eggs not a war hero. War hero. He is a war hero because he was capture. I like people who are not captured. The middle class gets crushed, spending goes up, taxes go up. Hundreds of thousands of jobs disappear. It is more of the same but worse. And some people thinking oh, this is how it goes election season. Some people are saying this election season unlike any other, some of the things thrown out there. Well, some people say theyre suffering from anxiety and depression because of this election, in fact, there was a they are hoist said she has maybe seven patient day, five or six of them says you know what . It is because it is election, im not feeling well, i feel stressed. Im wondering whats going to happen. Five out of seven mike. I bet thats why the first president ial debate had a huge number. And then it was that tape about trump, you thought that that number would go up. No, 25 less viewership of the second debate. There was sunday night Football Game up against it, but i think a lot of people ignored it because they are sick of t so lets bring in somebody that we love here. Weve been in it, weve all been in it for like months now, right . This brutality, political, the negativity, toxic verbal have i lens really, it is almost like watching talking about football. But you know how people watch football, watch the debate. Isnt it really almost the same thing . Because people are using verbal words to harm one another. Thats true, thats what it has all been about. You cant get away from it, well, just turn the tv off. Think about Something Else. Is that a possibility . I got to think about Something Else . Well, you can, we call it thought substitution, anxiety and thinking about Something Else that doesnt have anything to do with the thing thats making you sick. So we can do. That will but the reality of it we do have anxiety, we have to sort of pre is her that far good part of us, because really this toxic elections are pretty ugly and pretty brutal. Two sides to anxiety, productive and not productive . Exactly. Think about staying a test. We were all in school. When thinking about taking a test and you are really anxious, unproductive when you get in holding pattern, and the fact that you cant do it, you dont know enough, and then you get paralyzed. Thats unproductive anxiety. Productive sanity it moves to you action. So any this election, wore taking a test. If you study for the tells, then do you well. You know . Then you are not worrying as much about it, with this election, though, the productive anxiety can it move you to being positive . Maybe go out and pole. Make do something positive with your kids. Maybe you think about what the future will look like even if your candidate doesnt win. Is that you what call self comparison . No, compassion. Who should i have compassion for in. You. Me . Preserve yourself in the midst of all of. This there is this thing called self preservation thats really important. So then when you are in the midst of a negative situation, were not talking about self acceptance, we are talking about even though youre anxious, acknowledge that it is real, and that you understand that there is a reason for it. What about some people who feel you know what this is out of my control. You never know where this is going, which way it will turn. And so, what if for some people thats the problem here . I say work your adaptive muscles. Whats that . Adaptive muscles, remember, we are hard wired to worry about things, so worry about a lot of things, and you feel like out of control, i cant control these things, what are the things that you can control . Because, the reality, in this world, we have to adapt to lot of things that allow us to thrive. Allow us to survive. Adaptation really important. Even if your candidate does not win, what can you adapt to to help to you think about your future and your families. Ill just turnoff the tv began for a run. Internal resource also good, exercise, meditation, you know, yoga, running, all of that kind of stuff can help you to center yourself. Some people like to go to church though, do that way, or talk to someone about it. I love this lower third. Try anxiety reducing activities. Yes. Exercise, meditation, yoga, all of, that talk therapy, im a proponent of. Hold on, is it getting so bad i have to go see a therapy . Trying to come to me, lay on my couch, in my office for how many years now . Shes been asking me, im not kidding. It may be ten years, because you and i worked in new york together. We d did i. I have been ten years, shes like you have to come lion my couch. And after one of these segment he says im come, im coming. And he never does. My thing is why do you insist . My mayor is messed up.
